As a high school student in Chicago, Creyts' color drawings and ceramics had already been exhibited in New York City. She received her BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute where she was awarded a President's Scholarship and named a Thomas Hart Benton Scholar. She went on to graduate study at Yale University School of Art where she earned a MFA in Painting/Printmaking.
Creyts' artist residencies and travels include the Woodstock School of Art and Fundacion Valparaiso on the southern coast of Spain, a mural project in Mexico City and summers in London. Recently she has given artist's talks at the Kansas City Art Institute, Rhode Island School of Design and Fairfield University. She will give a slide show presentation at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary art in October, 2007.
Creyts' paintings and prints are included in the collections of Penn State University and McKinsey and Co. as well as homes of private collectors across the nation and in London. Upcoming exhibits are scheduled at Seton Gallery, University of New Haven and Thornhill gallery at Avila University.
